The Imphal Art College established in 1949 was affiliated to the Manipur University in 1980. The College imparts education in Fine Arts and other applied arts. It offers 5-year Diploma in Fine Arts, and Bachelor in Fine Arts courses in Sculpture, Painting and Commercial Art. The Manipur Government extends financial aid to the College. The University Grants Commission provided computer hardware and software in upgrading the facilities of the College.
